The fishing at Timber Wolf Lodge covers everything you would want to fish for. There is excellent smallmouth fishing on Winkle Lake that the resort is located on. Timber Wolf Lodge acts more as a base camp for the several surrounding lakes all within a 20-minute drive of camp. If you have a larger boat, there is bigger lakes like Rainy Lake, Manitou, Cuttle, Mainville, Sawbill and Essox with good boat launches for you to access. If your more of the adventurous type, then the skies the limit for fisherman with smaller skiffs or kayaks. With at least 50 small lakes in area fishing opportunities our endless. With access to these lakes by portage or logging roads you can have your own little private lake to yourself. Very seldom seeing another angler.

If you’re here for the week, you can fish a different lake everyday or find yourself a favorite go to lake, it does not matter. Species of fish are Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Walleye, Crappie, Pike, Lake Trout, Perch, and Muskie.

OUR CAMP RULES: all walleyes over 20 inches are to be released with the exception of one trophy over 29 inches (although graphite trophy is preferred).
